Breast Surgeon: Strong correlation between birth control & breast cancer

How is it acceptable that this information isn't loudly explained to each patient before she choses to take the Pill or not?! In a culture that is so concerned with the idea of "choice," why are women not being fully educated so that they can make an informed CHOICE regarding the Pill? Its ironic that so much use of hormone replacement therapy has been stopped due to it being carcinogenic, and yet these are the same hormones that are used widely in the Pill, which is prescribed daily to thousands of women. Women deserve to be fully educated on the risks, not just the "benefits" of the Pill. See the following link:

This stuff is not new, it’s not magic, it’s in the literature,” Dr. Angela Lanfranchi, a breast surgical oncologist and co-founder of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute said, linking pill use to the 660 percent rise in non-invasive breast cancer since 1973. “Women want to know, and women have a right to know, what researchers have known for over 20 years.”

She compared media treatment of the pill’s cancer risk to that of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which was found to be carcinogenic in 2002. Once word got out, 15 out of 30 million women in America taking HRT stopped; by 2007, invasive breast cancer in women over 50 for estrogen-receptive positive tumors dropped 11 percent.

Meanwhile, she noted, hormonal contraception - essentially the same drug as HRT and with a similar cancer risk, about 25-30 percent - continues to be touted as harmless and even healthy. And yet, the International Agency on Research of Cancer, a branch of the World Health Organization, classified hormonal contraceptives in 2005 as a group one carcinogen along with asbestos and radium.

Unlike the HRT discovery, “I don’t remember one six o’clock news report about that information,” said Lanfranchi.

It's Election Day!

"To put it simply, “public servants” who cannot tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public do not belong in public office!" - Fr. Frank Pavone

Today is Election Day - don't forget to vote your conscience, and defend life, liberty and justice for ALL, including unborn Americans who are yet to have a voice. God bless you and yours!

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." - John Quincy Adams

From the Mouths of Abortionists - Direct Quotes

The truth of abortion can't be stated any more clearly than by the mouths of abortion providers and supporters themselves:

"Abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun."
--Planned Parenthood "Plan Your Children for Health and Happiness" Pamphlet, 1963

"One sperm joins one egg = baby." - ABC's of Birth Control (Planned Parenthood publication - World Population, 1973), p. 4.

"I have angry feelings at myself for feeling good about grasping the calvaria, for feeling good about doing a technically good procedure that destroys a fetus, kills a baby."
--New Mexico abortionist cited from the article "Abortion Providers Share Inner Conflicts" which appeared in the July 12 1993 issue of AAA News, a publication of the American Medical Association

Faye Wattleton responded to the statement: "It's not a frog or a ferret that's being killed. It's a baby," with "I am fully aware of that. I am fully aware of that."
--Faye Wattleton on the Phil Donahue Show (Donahue Transcript # 3288, 1991)

"I was trained by a professional marketing director in how to sell abortions over the telephone. He took every one of our receptionists, nurses, and anyone else who would deal with people over the phone through an extensive training period. The object was, when the girl called, to hook the sale so that she wouldn't get an abortion somewhere else, or adopt out her baby, or change her mind. We were doing it for the money."
--Nina Whitten, chief secretary at a Dallas abortion clinic under Dr. Curtis Boyd

“We tried to avoid the women seeing them [the fetuses] They always wanted to know the sex, but we lied and said it was too early to tell. It's better for the women to think of the fetus as an 'it.’”
--Abortion clinic worker Norma Eidelman quoted in Rachel Weeping p 34

“We know that its killing, but the state permits killing under certain circumstances"
--Dr. Neville Sender, abortionist

"...the abortion-rights folks know it, the anti-abortion folks know it, and so probably, does everyone else. One of the facts of abortion is that women enter abortion clinics to kill their fetuses. It is a form of killing ...you're ending a life."
--Ron Fitzsimmons, National Coalition of Abortion Providers, New York Times, 26 February 1997

“We have reached a point in this particular technology [D&E abortion] where there is no possibility of denial of an act of destruction by the operator. It is before one’s eyes. The sensations of dismemberment flow through the forceps like an electric current.”
--Dr. Warren Hern, (late term abortionist), "What About Us? Staff Reactions to D&E," paper presented at the annual meeting of Planned Parenthood Physicians, San Diego, CA, 1978)

In testimony Wednesday in St. Louis Circuit Court, [abortionist] Crist said that it is not uncommon for second-trimester fetuses to leave the womb feet-first, intact and with their hearts still beating. He sometimes crushes their skulls to get the fetuses out. Other times, he dismembers them.
--Jo Mannies, "Abortion Doctor Gives Graphic testimony Describing Abortion Procedure," St. Louis Post-Dispatch, May 25, 2000.)

“The fetus in many cases, dies just as a human adult or child would: it bleeds to death as it is torn from limb to limb… The fetus can be alive at the beginning of the dismemberment process and can survive for a time while its limbs are being torn off. --Dr. [Leroy] Carhart [the abortionist who challenged Nebraska’s partial-birth ban] has observed fetal heartbeat… with “extensive parts of the fetus removed,” … and testified that mere dismemberment of a limb does not always cause death because he knows of a physician who removed the arm of a fetus only to have the fetus go on to be born “as a living child with one arm.”…At the conclusion of a D&E abortion… the abortionist is left with a “tray full of pieces.”
--Anthony Kennedy, pro-abortion, Supreme Court justice

"It was at this point that I began to have nightmares . . .. In my nightmares, I would deliver a healthy newborn baby. And I would take that healthy newborn baby, and I would hold it up. And I would face a jury of faceless people and ask them to tell me what to do with this baby. They were to go thumbs up or thumbs down, and if they made a thumbs down indication, then I was to drop the baby into a bucket of water which was present. I never did reach the point of dropping the baby into the bucket, because I’d always wake up at that point”
--Former abortion doctor McArthur Hill has told of how he would try to save premature babies and then find that the babies he’d aborted were bigger than the premature ones he had saved. (Prolife Action League, 1989).

"My heart got callous to the fact that I was a murderer - that baby lying in a cold bowl educated me as to what abortion really was." Dr David Brewer, Former Abortionist

The Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act of 2010

“Destruction of the embryo in the mother’s womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent [developing] life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.” ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer ~

http://johanns.senate.gov/public/?a=Files.Serve&File_id=8af07d9a-ac74-4d0c-9207-08b5468d57ee

The above link will direct you to the text of the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act introduced in the US Senate. In reading this text, I was heartbroken and brought to tears. How is it possible that in this great nation, where there are so many who profess to be followers of Christ, that there is even a need for an act to request pain relief for the innocent child who is being mercilessly slaughtered in his/her own mothers womb? It is incredibly horrible, in my perception, that animals that are butchered in the US are only allowed to be slaughtered in specific ways that alleviate or reduce the pain to the animal, yet unborn children are literally ripped limb by limb into pieces, burnt by chemicals, partially delivered and then punctured in the skull and their brains literally sucked out of them, etc, on a whim and without concern for their pain and their suffering. The fact that these brutal acts take place at all is horrific, and the fact that an Act has to be put before the US Senate in order to show them that the human being in the womb feels pain and suffers during his or her death during an abortion is nothing less than tragic.

Could it be that this is an issue because if a we accept that the child in the womb is in need of pain relief in order to be killed, then we are actually admitting that the child IS indeed a child - not a blob of flesh - a child who feels and suffers? Most individuals would agree (even those who are pro-choice) that it is WRONG to kill a child. Scientific studies demonstrate that the unborn child indeed feels pain, and simple biology shows that the unborn child is indeed human, regardless of what Planned Parenthood or anyone else tries to claim. Biology is biology, and humanity is humanity, and there is no propaganda on earth that can change that. The deceptive words of abortion providers and the many who choose not to protect the smallest and most innocent members of our human race by supporting abortion, or simply, by their silence on the issue, do not change the fact that abortion kills a living human being, who, like the rest of us, feels pain and is deserving of life. The reality of humanity and the value of life is what it is - priceless, at ANY stage.

"One reason I'm not afraid to stand up against abortion...because I was supposed to be one."

A friend of mine recently shared her personal testimony of why she is pro-life. I asked her if I could share her story. The following is an amazing account of a mother's selfless love and the daughter and grandchildren she has to show for it. Thank you, Dr. Kyna Wilson, D.C., for sharing your story.

"I just want to share a personal story to put things mildly into perspective. Maybe its one reason I'm not afraid to to stand up against abortion, and why I'm doing it in September...because I was supposed to be one.

As videos of Gianna Jessen circulate, as you hear her speech, as you may force yourself to watch videos such as The True Face of Abortion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s07aT-w3d1Y&feature=related), or The Silent Scream, they hit home. They make me proud to be my mother's daughter and not that of someone less strong.

I am my parent's 6th child. 7th pregnancy, one lost to miscarriage. My mother bled every day of her pregnancy with me. She spent much of it at the University of WA Medical Center. It was a very high risk pregnancy. You see, early into her pregnancy, the doctors discovered that my mother had uterine cancer. Her very womb was cancerous. And I was growing inside it. Doctors told her that they needed to operate immediately for it not to spread. That it was unsafe to allow the pregnancy. They needed to remove her uterus, and that meant they needed to remove me. She was advised to have an abortion and an immediate hysterectomy.

She declined.

I am thankful. How easy it would have been for her to listen. To take their 'expert medical opinions.' How easily it would have been for her to be scared. Too scared. To not speak up. To not disagree. To fear her own health, her own life. But she didn't. She continued to bleed. And to allow me to grow, while my life was risking hers. And then on September 22, 1981 she birthed me. I was rushed away for testing and my mother for a hysterectomy. It was found that the uterine cancer had spread and engulfed the placenta that feed me and eaten my umbilical cord to she size of a thread. Yet it stopped. It did not reach me. I was safe, and I was cancer free. My mother was operated on and she recovered, only later to battle and beat breast cancer as well. She is strong, you see. And because of that, I am alive. And I am well. And I have greatness inside of me and I will leave a true impact on this world. I have two beautiful and highly intelligent children who also would not exist if it hadn't been for my mother saying no to my suggested abortion.

I was advised to be aborted when I was not yet considered life by pro-choice activists. But to my mother, I was her child, and she believed in the greatness that I would become.

My mother risked her life for me. Yet too many others are afraid to risk even their reputations.

I am pro-life. And I have every reason to be.

I guess it is because I am celebrating my 29th year of this life, that I am thinking so much so about how closely I was to being destroyed.

So thank you Mom, for giving me life, not once, but twice."

ABORTION: The Silent Scream Part 1 2 3 4 5 COMPLETE VERSION .

This is the full version of the video called "The Silent Scream" that films an abortion from inside the womb. The earlier film wasn't the complete version. If you are pro-choice, you are in support of this procedure even if you don't realize what it entails. Please have the courage to view the film so that you are fully educated in the practice of which you support. Many people are unaware of the reality of the abortion procedure, as it is often made to sound like a simple and quick procedure that simply removes a "blog of flesh" (according to Planned Parenthood propaganda especially). After viewing this video, you will realize that Planned Parenthood and their affiliates are lying, and that a real, human child is killed by abortion, painfully and brutally. See the procedure for yourself, and draw your own conclusions. I pray that we will all chose to support life, and not the grotesque abortion procedures that destroy it.

The Silent Scream

This is a graphic video - but especially those who do not see that abortion is the killing of a living person need to see this, because this is what is done hundreds to thousands of times each day to vulnerable children in the name of "women's rights" and "choice." After witnessing the reality, is this what you would choose? Lets pray this horrible practice ends, and that all children are given a chance at life. If you support abortion, be brave enough to view this video and see what abortion truly is. It's not a "choice" - it's a life. See for yourself and make your own conclusions. God bless.

40 Days for Life - Day 3

"Science teaches that human life begins at conception. If it is also true that it is affirmed by religion, it does not for that reason cease to be a strictly scientific truth, to be transformed into a religious opinion. He who denies that human life begins with conception does not need to contend with religion, but science. To deny this certainty of biology is not to express a lack of faith, but a lack of basic knowledge of human genetics, something that is even known by the general public."

~ Ecuadorian Federation of Societies of Gynecology and Obstetrics, April 17, 2008 ~

40 Days for Life Fall 2010, Day 2

"Let me tell you why I believe abortion is the crucial issue of our age. First, because abortion, too, is about living within the truth. The right to life is the foundation of every other human right. If that right is not inviolate, then no right can be guaranteed. Or to put it more bluntly: Homicide is homicide, no matter how small the victim."

~ Most Reverend Charles Chaput, Archbishop of Denver, CO, Living within the truth: Religious liberty and Catholic mission in the new order of the world, August 24, 2010

www.40daysforlife.com

Please join in prayer to end abortion and bring love, life and healing to families, mothers, fathers and children in need. God bless!

"No rights are safe when the right to life is not." - Archbishop Charles J. Chaput

Why is it that so many Americans view the current health bills and the abortion debate (not to mention euthanasia, those left without the basic needs to sustain life, and many other right to life issues) as political instead of basic human life issues? There's truly nothing political about it, except for those who want to twist the matter at hand and use it as a power trip to gain control over others (politics as usual?). It amazes me how so many people seem to not realize that the issue of right to life is not about politics, but, in as simple of a concept as possible - fundamentally about LIFE. I wonder how many people would see it outside of the box of politics if they stepped back for a second and looked at the big picture, rather than remain trapped in the misguided view that it is a left vs. right, political party debate rather than a human life/common sense reality. LIFE is central to human rights - without life, there aren't any human rights to be concerned about. As Archbishop Chaput says, "no rights are safe when the right to life is not."

Washington State Pregnancy Resource Centers at Risk

In response to the bill hearing in Olympia this morning (in which Planned Parenthood is attempting to shut down pregnancy centers, specifically excluding abortion centers), simple common sense shows that if Planned Parenthood REALLY wanted to "help women" and give them their "choices," they would be rejoicing that pregnancy centers are out there sharing the work and helping women & children.
